Ms France Gelinas
The "GEMME" of
Innovation in Politics for Equity

A little about France
Her commitment to equitable access, social justice and advocating for communities in Northern Ontario, particularly in relation to health and Francophone affairs, has been unwavering.
Since her first election to the Ontario Legislative Assembly in 2007, and throughout her subsequent terms of office, she has been a determined advocate for the citizens of the Nickel Belt, a vast and diverse constituency comprising numerous communities, including several First Nations communities. Her leadership at Queen’s Park, particularly in her role as spokesperson on health and Francophone affairs, demonstrates a deep commitment to a system based on equity, accessibility and human dignity.
Her contribution extends beyond the legislative sphere: it forms part of a coherent vision of a strong, inclusive North that respects its linguistic and cultural diversity. Her tireless work to ensure equitable access to essential public services has had a tangible impact on the lives of the families and communities you represent.
