About the event
The objective of the pre-conference excursion will be to immerse our participants in the deep and vibrant history of Manitoulin Island, in the heart of a First Nation reserve, the day before the conference. This excursion will offer an enriched perspective on the historical and contemporary connections between Black and First Nation communities, as well as the struggles and successes of these peoples in the face of injustice.
By exploring this symbolic territory, we will spark meaningful reflection and discussion around the challenges of systemic racism and intercultural solidarity today. This experience will strengthen our collective commitment to equality and inclusion, while setting the stage for rich discussions during the two-day Résolutions2025 conference.
