The 3rd Edition of the Historic Conference
"Résolutions: Overcoming Racism Together" is back!
After the resounding success of the first two editions, the 3rd edition of our conference will be held on October 16 and 17, 2025 at Collège Boréal in Sudbury, with an exceptional two-day programme, starting with the official opening at Sudbury City Hall, and preceded by a pre-conference excursion on October 15, to offer participants an even more enriching experience.
This year’s THEME
“HARNESSING EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES TO ERADICATE RACISM”
In the digital age, new technologies are transforming our world at dizzying speed, providing unprecedented opportunities but also revealing complex challenges, particularly for Black and racialized communities who face systemic racism deeply rooted in our social structures, economic and political. As we evolve in an increasingly digitalized world, it is essential to understand how modern technologies influence these dynamics.

Exclusive Pre-Conference Excursion
October 15, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
An inspiring tour of Salem Chapel Church in St. Catharines
This historic site served as a refuge and welcoming space for Black people in the 1800s, playing a crucial role in the history of the fight against racism and injustice.
The goal of that day was to immerse our attendees in the rich and moving history of Salem Chapel Church, two days before the conference, providing them with an in-depth perspective of the challenges and triumphs of Black communities during this era.
By revisiting this symbolic location, we sparked meaningful thoughts and discussions about how to combat racism today, strengthened our collective commitment to equality, and set the stage for fruitful exchanges during the Résolutions2024 conference.
Together, we seek to honor the past while building a fairer and more inclusive future.
